Peppermint Tea

On the way back home, the sky grew cloudy
The clear blue day turned cold, dark and gray
Ducked into a shop around the corner
To watch the marching of the bumbershoot brigade
The waitress, pretty Alice, looked me over
“Poor thing, shiv'ring, I'll bring… “
