"You might call him 'The Mayor of Bittersweet'...."
- Sidney G.

"I hear every single singer/songwriter I love from the early 60s. I think you're at The Bitter End, right after Tom Paxton, and just before that kid Bobby Zimmerman. Powerful ethos of innocence and joy and well-deserved weariness."
- Joel D Canfield, after listening to "Sing It One More Time" (http://fawm.org)

J. Oscar Bittinger is a band oriented singer & songwriter, currently sans band.

Well, a rock band that is - he does play with:

  • The Folk Bros (TheFolkBros.com - Estb. 1985) - a collaboration with longstanding mates Bruce Zee and Stig Aldrich - The Folk Bros are reasserting their presence with live shows, a new recording and a historical compilation of "Field Recordings."
  • Dublin Station (dublinstation.com) create "Arrivals & Departures in Celtic & American Traditional Music" - they are taking a break for the early part of 2010 to manage multiple projects.
